The Invaders are taking the week off but we still like leaving a little something fun under your podcast tree. This week we debut a brand new idea of trying to figure out what a movie is about based on the title alone with hilarious results. We've never seen or heard of these movies and maybe you haven't either. On the very first (and possibly last) WTFIT we completely make-up plots for The Hebrew Hammer and UFO Blue Christmas, two very real movies we know nothing about.

Santa's sleigh is stuck in the sand on a beach in Florida. What will Santa do? Dig himself out or tell stories? It's the second one. Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny (1972) is an odd movie with little to no story. But it does have a cool title and for the first time ever Invasion of the Remake goes back to the drawing board for a page one rewrite on one of the worst Christmas films ever made.

When two dogs and a cat mistakenly think they have been abandoned they make an incredible journey, traveling over 200 miles to get home to their family. The Incredible Journey (1963) is a Walt Disney family classic. It's a heartwarming tale of adventure that Disney would revisit 30 years later giving the heroic animals a voice for the first time in Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (1993) starring the voices of Michael J. Fox, Sally Field, and Don Ameche. Join Invasion of the Remake as we cross mountains to get to the heart of The Incredible Journey.

"Wax on, wax off." The Karate Kid (1984) made these words part of the cultural lexicon. It is a classic story of overcoming adversity, finding confidence, and earning respect. Join us as we compare the Ralph Macchio & Pat Morita classic and compare it to the 2010 remake starring Jackie Chan & Jaden Smith. Will the winner take it with a crane kick or a flip kick? Only one can be The Karate Kid!

It's our big 250th episode and to celebrate we are going to attempt to reimagine one of our favourite cult animated films, Wizards (1977), as a live action movie! Wizards is about twin brothers born into power on a post apocalyptic earth where the magical creatures of old have repopulated the Earth. What remains of humanity has mutated and lives in the irradiated zones ruled by Blackwolf who will stop at nothing to take control of his brother Avatar's realm including looking to the past to inspire his troops into war. Join us for our 250th episode as we cast a spell and remake Ralph Bakshi's magical world of Wizards.

When someone dies in the grip of a powerful rage... a curse is born. The curse gathers in that place of death. Those who encounter it will be consumed by its fury.

Join Invasion of the Remake as we take a look at the curse that is known as Ju-on or The Grudge. We'll talk about the entire franchise that crosses into thirteen films in Japan and America while focusing in on Ju-On (2002), The Grudge (2004) starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, and even the very recent The Grudge (2020). We hope we will survive the rage of Kayako.
