Invasion of the Remake drives down the road to the Last House on the Left (1972 Vs. 2009) this week, where Wes Craven reaches into the darkest parts of his psyche to produce his first feature film. It is a dark, raw and gritty horror film that was divisive, shocking, banned in several countries, and eventually remade. We watched them both and have the scars to prove it. Join us as we visit the Last House on the Left.

Williams Lustig's Maniac (1980) is a dark, controversial horror film about a serial killer on a rampage starring Joe Spinell. It's themes of mental illness and deep seeded trauma are explored even further in the 2012 remake starring Elijah Wood. This week IOTR is joined by the horror queen, Breanna Whipple of Heavy Horror to explore both films. Keep your hair on because this episode is better than a shotgun to the face!
