They came for his family, now he's coming for them. They must've had a Death Wish. Paul Kersey had everything taken away from him, now he's taken to the streets to reap justice. Death Wish (1974) is a classic crime drama starring Charles Bronson, Hope Lange, and Vincent Gardenia in which a grieving husband and father, feeling powerless, takes up a gun to stop violent crime on the streets and take the power away from the criminals. In 2018 director Eli Roth remade Death Wish with Bruce Willis, Vincent D'Onofrio, Elisabeth Shue, and Dean Norris. Criminals beware, a new vigilante has taken to the streets and he isn't taking any prisoners. Neither is Invasion of the Remake as we discuss Death Wish (1974 Vs 2018)!

Sorceress (1982) is the most insane fantasy film we've ever had to rework into a modern remake. It has a floating head spitting lasers, angry monkey men, a frisky goat man, a lion with bat wings, the living dead, and twin playmates proficient in the magical and martial arts. All of this and more is wrapped in a Roger Corman bow. Yes it is awful. Join Invasion of the Remake in a land of swords and sorcery as we remake Sorceress!

In We're No Angels (1955) three convicts escape jail to find themselves inadvertently helping a family and finding their own self worth in the process. Michael Curtiz directs an all-star cast that includes Humphrey Bogart, Aldo Ray, Peter Ustinov, Joan Bennett, and Basil Rathbone. In the 1989 version, directed by Neil Jordan and starring Robert De Niro, Sean Penn, Demi Moore, and John C. Reilly, two prisoners escape with a death row inmate and hide in a local church. Interacting with the priests and town's folk help them find redemption in themselves. We may not be angels but Invasion of the Remake will sit in judgement on these films. One shall rise to a heavenly status and one will need to repent for its sins. Join us this week as we discuss We're No Angels!
