They are in your theaters, your neighbors homes, and even your own. They have come to destroy your childhood and ruin your future. Only one podcast can protect you from the Invasion of the Remake!

Aug 28, 2018
This week Invasion of the Remake celebrates three years of podcasting glory with David Bowie starring in his first lead roll in a feature film, The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976). Director Nicolas Roeg brings his idiosyncratic style and vision to this very unique science fiction film. A film that relies more on implied ideas than plot and special effects. The results make for a surreal, disjointed, introspective experience that most likely would never had been made today. What would that look like? Could The Man Who Fell to Earth even be remade today? Join Invasion of the Remake as we attempt to wrap our collective minds around this movie and attempt to rethink, recast, and ultimately remake this cult classic film.

A man has been tasked with covering up a murder and finding the person who was last with the victim. Problem is that all the evidence points right back to him. Awkward. This is the premise of the thriller The Big Clock (1948) and the 1987 remake set during the height of the Cold War with a political back drop called No Way Out. No Way Out stars Kevin Costner, Gene Hackman, Sean Young, and Will Patton. Join Invasion of the Remake as we compare these two films in one of our funniest episodes ever!

A witch in training is in search of the final spell that she hopes will be in aid of the war effort. She has also been given three children to take care of during the war. The kids make a pact to keep her secret and help her find the missing spell. Bedknobs & Broomsticks (1971) is full of music, adventure and cartoon animals during a World War II setting. Think Harry Potter meets Roger Rabbit. Join Invasion of the Remake as we re-imagine this Walt Disney classic starring Angela Lansbury and David Tomlinson, complete with our own fantasy casting.
