Once again we travel to a galaxy far, far away to complete the trilogy we started way back in Ep.23 and continued in Ep.123. By listener demand we were asked to continue our comparisons of the original Star Wars trilogy to the sequel trilogy. Spoilers ahead, as we're going to take an in depth look at Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker (2019) in this episode and make comparisons to Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983) and other films within George Lucas' original trilogy. May the Force be with you!

This week we travel to Italy to decipher the enigmatic cult, horror, comedy Dellamorte Dellamore (aka Cemetery Man, 1994) starring Rupert Everett. Cemetery Man is a strange film that can be enjoyed as a zombie comedy or on a deeper more thought provoking level. We piece this complicated skeleton back together and try to rethink, recast, and theoretically remake Cemetery Man on this weeks episode of Invasion of the Remake.

Before Home Alone there was Adventures in Babysitting (1987) where a babysitter is forced to enter the dangerous city with the kids in her care to rescue her friend. Everything that could go wrong does in this family friendly comedy by director Chris Columbus and star Elisabeth Shue. In 2016 Disney released a modern remake on the Disney Channel starring Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson as competing babysitters. This new interpretation brings on some interesting changes that Invasion of the Remake will explore in this weeks episode, but one thing remains certain..."Don't mess with the babysitter!"

It's talons tear. It's breath burns. It is terror and only sorcery can destroy it. A young wizard's apprentice attempts to help a village whose women are being sacrificed to appease a hungry dragon. Join us on an incredible journey of swords, sorcery, and dragons as we rethink and theoretically remake the underrated fantasy classic DragonSlayer (1981) for a new generation.

This week the Invaders travel to New York city and 34th Street to discover a miracle. Miracle on 34th Street (1947) is a Christmas classic and part of many people's traditional holiday watches. It won 3 Academy Awards with one for Edmund Gwenn as Kris Kringle. How does Richard Attenborough compare in the same roll in the 1994 remake? Join us as we compare both and explore what makes Miracle on 34th Street a Holiday classic.

"It is a violent narcotic - an unspeakable scourge - The Real Public Enemy Number One!" Reefer Madness (1936) was a fictional propaganda film warning against the consumption of marijuana, getting addicted may result in hysteria, insanity, and even death. It became a cult classic because for its hilarious camp, overacting, and obvious misinformation. It would later be adapted as a stage musical which became a large scale television film in 2005 starring Kristen Bell, Christian Campbell, Alan Cumming, Neve Campbell, Ana Gasteyer, and John Kassir. Join Invasion of the Remake this week as we catch a little Reefer Madness!

This week Invasion of the Remake takes the mothership to the outer edge of Walt Disney's The Black Hole (1979). Science fiction had taken off in a big way in the 70s & 80s thanks to Star Wars and Disney wanted a piece of that. Ultimately it proved easier just to buy Star Wars, but this attempt is still fondly remembered by sci-fi fans. Join us as we get sucked into The Black Hole and throw our own ideas at what a modern day remake might look like complete with our own fantasy casting.

An evil fairy curses a princess to an eternal sleep, and only true love's kiss can awaken her. This week Invasion of the Remake enters the realm of fairy tales and fantasy with the Walt Disney classic Sleeping Beauty (1959) and Maleficent (2014) which explores Sleeping Beauty from the point of view of the mistress of evil herself, Maleficent. It's a battle of dragons from the past and present only on Invasion of the Remake.

Even a man who is pure in heart, and says his prayers by night;
May become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright.

This week Invasion of the Remake is caught howling at the moon as we take a bite out of the original Universal Horror classic The Wolf Man (1941) starring the legendary Lon Chaney Jr. and Claude Rains. But there are more wolves in this pack as we also compare the original to The Wolfman (2010) remake starring Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, and Emily Blunt. The moon is full and the werewolves are out hunting as we once again bring you All The Horror!
