Before Home Alone there was Adventures in Babysitting (1987) where a babysitter is forced to enter the dangerous city with the kids in her care to rescue her friend. Everything that could go wrong does in this family friendly comedy by director Chris Columbus and star Elisabeth Shue. In 2016 Disney released a modern remake on the Disney Channel starring Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson as competing babysitters.
